As I told you in reply to your telephonic oall, I intended to come round during the day but it is getting rather late whilst the weather is very uninviting and your taxies do not venture "down town",
I am obliged for what you told me in regard to the Shanghai cablo, received by you this morning, relative to the "blacklist" incid- ent which involved the Guaranty Trust Company; and, as I told you, Company informed me yesterday that their name had been removed from the blacklist in consequence of their representations in London, at the
oreign Office, and this would seem to explain why Shanghai could inform you so quickly that this matter had been righted.
